Welcome to the RetroVesp, the scooter trading arm of Moto-build Racing.
We are an established company dealing with the design and manufacture of body styling products for Rover and MG Cars. As Scooters are my great hobby I thought why not design and make a body kit for the most popular scooter on the road today, namely the Vespa PX and T5 range.

Personally I love the look of the early 60's style GS with its flowing lines and voluptuous rear end! Compare that with the very angular lines of the 70's styled PX, but take a closer look and the basic scooter underneath the bolt on panels is so very similar to the original concept that there has to be a way of capturing the GS style whilst retaining the modern mechanics and reliability of a PX. So why not a body kit that is simple to fit and will make your modern Vespa look like a 60's model!? Well this is it.

We started with the original steel panels and reshaped and remodelled them, then moulds were made to allow us to reproduce in quantity. What we can now offer are a pair of rear panels, complete with separate tool box lid, a complete front mudguard suitable for disc or drum brakes and a replacement front horn cover, that can be fitted with an original style chrome finisher. Fitting of on all these parts has been made very simple for you and the pictures and captions below explain further.

    • All parts are made in high quality GRP and finished in white gelcoat
    Moulding lines are left and a small amount of refinishing is required before painting.

    The finished article painted in 2 pack paint and lacquer and fitted to scooter.

    How the side panels work, simply slice the outer shell off your old side panel, leaving a 2" band, then bond it to new fibreglass shell.
